The currently witnessed growth of the European Union economic strength finds its reflection especially clearly in the IT Industry.

Lisbon Strategy defined goals of the European Union development towards IST (Information Society Technologies) are planned to be met in the EU Research and Development Framework Programme 7, ICT Theme (encompassing massive funds of Euro 13 Billion for the years 2007-2013, i.e. 30% of the total FP7 EU budget). In such perspective high quality level IT training and certification programs for IT professional staff in the EU becomes an imperative priority for the whole Europe. EITCI is dedicated to providing those high level professional education standards in its internationally launched European IT Certification Program in alliance with many strategic partners.
