European IT Certification Academy IT Security Certificate (EITCA-S) encompasses a two semesters e-Learning programme of 180 hours in 12 IT courses. Each course of the EITCA-S certification programme includes 15 hours (with 10 hours of lectures and 5 hours of exercises or distributed software laboratories).

All courses treat in detail issues concerning IT Security, and each separate course is prepared as a self-contained study packet (with studying contents related to a specific IT Security disciple and independent from the other courses).

Below you will find more detailed information programme on each of the two semesters of EITCA-S IT Certificate programme:

• The first semester of the EITCA-S IT studies programme (encompassing 6 IT courses of 90 hours) has a mixed theoretical and practical significance. It includes a necessary introduction to cryptography, security of computer networks and practical problematic issues of IT security in a functioning e-Commerce market branch (including e-Finance, e-Banking, e-Business and general electronic economy). One of the courses includes a deep discussion of general IT security theory and its implications for practical information security applications. Another of the IT courses provides an introduction to a completely novel paradigm of quantum information (currently the most modern information technology), which has a large potential impact on IT security applications. Very practical and immediately utilitarian character has on the other hand an IT course focusing on IT security management in advanced system solutions (primarily networking operating systems) of a corporate IT leader, Microsoft company.
  
  
• The second semester of the EITCA-S IT studies programme (encompassing 6 IT courses of 90 hours) has primarily practical character, with strictly applicable IT security knowledge IT courses, supported by extensive laboratories (implemented in distributed IT security software allowing students to gain practical skills and experience in strictly applicable information security technologies and tools). The EITCA-S second semester IT courses include both business and technical perspectives on IT security. In the first area there are important courses on information security in different logical layers of information processing inside of an organization, especially an IT course on IT security legal aspects. In a second area there is a very applicable IT course providing students with knowledge and practice concerning real IT threats (including classifications, methodologies and finally IT security tools used to defend and track down attacks and hacking activities), as well as an IT course discussing quantum cryptography being a fundamental breakthrough for information and communication security.
